  1. Richie Laryea (22) for Canada joined Nottingham Forest of the Championship in January from Toronto F.C. The deal was for $1m Canadian Dollars (£714k+), He has been an unused sub so far in 2 games.

  2. Born and raised in Victoria ,B.C. we were not allowed to play Canadian football because it was considered too violent. We played soccer and rugby instead. We decided that wearing all those silly pads must be what made it dangerous. We decided it must be a game for girls due to the use of pads.

  3. I showed these highlights to my friends who are mostly used to European football, they were so stunned by the quality of that first goal. Amazing, keep on rolling rude Canadians!!

  4. Last time Canada was in the World Cup was 1986 one of there Qualifying games for that Cup was in St John's Newfoundland some of the fans from Honduras came up to support there team they went to the wrong city they went to St. John New Brunswick they had to watch the game on TV at the bar near the hotel there where staying at

  5. Zardes has 2 left feet. Sargent even out of form is better than Zardes….Dike really isn’t that great tbh, but he’s probably better than Zardes. The thing is that Berhalter coached Zardes at Columbus Crew, and he trusts Zardes

  6. Don't sleep on Canada this WC. they have speed, youth, confidence and good coaching. They also haven't realised they shouldn't be winning yet.

  7. You're totally right man! Us Canadian's are completely gassed! The hype is real! If we can win our next three games, we could rank in the top 25, and actually end up in Pot 3 during the April 1 Group draw, which could give us a decent enough group to get through the Group Stage. Now my money is not on them winning the whole thing (obviously), but dude if Canada can actually make it past the group stage, and possibly the Round of 16, they could actually set themselves up to be a force to be recokened with, if not at this World Cup, in 4 years when they co-host the damn thing.

  8. I was at this game
Everyone in the stadium was standing the whole game
Which was easier to keep warm
It was such a great experience to see this level of playing
Canada is up and coming in the soccer world

  9. The US were very unlucky this match turner made an early mistake leading to an early goal which allowed them to park the bus the entire match and catch us on a counter attack later in the game I expect more from the US tho losing in this fashion is inexcusable plus we kept more than 50% possession and still created less chances I blame Gregg for not fixing his tactics at halftime we should’ve been able to win this game tbh

  10. I actually hope we don’t qualify so we can move on from berhalter. The US is boring and predictable to watch not the least bit excited about watching this team anymore

  11. Hockey still rules the Canadian psyche, but football has been making steady strides. Jamaican immigrants in the 1960s brought their hot spicy cuisine and their hot spicy game. Subsequent waves of South Asians, Central Americans and Africans supplied us with talented players, and young kids to grow up into the sport. The great advantage of "soccer" is that kids can play it in any park or empty lot without spending a fortune on equipment. As long as it still snows, hockey will continue to hold Canadian hearts, but in summertime, football is the future.

  12. I was born in England, but grew up in Canada. I've been a football fan my whole life and I can tell you, Canada is for real. They are dangerous on the counter. If I were England, I would not want them in my group at the World Cup.

  13. My luv from Canada brother ✌️??✌?.
My mum is from Croydon, and we have many European influences in our soccer program, mixed with South American styles, due to a great immigration program, that See's the benefits through sports programs at the local and National level.
    I'm so proud.
But still cheer for my Brits

  14. As a Canadian, I thought we MIGHT have a chance to qualify… Had no idea we'd be this GOOD. It's Crazy. Every World Cup, Canadians adopt a team, usually from their home country. I don't know how we'd do in the hot weather in Qatar, but it's going to be epic.
