  2. The Field was wet and the USA team were afraid of falling down and break a nail or get their make up wet. They needed a perfect dry Field, because they are not though enough to play like men. Latin American teams train in Fields that don't have grass, just dust.

  5. Who cares who's fault it is, they lost, that's all that matters. Don't blame anyone but the players and coaches. The coaches and most of the players need to be fired. Get some young blood in there.

  10. why is he talking about Costa Rica like it's Germany or something? lol Here in Brazil we consider Costa Rica one of the weakest teams to play against. It says a lot that to the US team Costa Rica is "a very good team".

  11. Why do English pundits always point fingers at USA. Every year I hear Man city will definitely win champions league and England should win every trophy. Then you all have a meltdown when it doesn't happen. Excuse after Excuse.

  27. As long as you have pay to play for these clubs and travel teams we will continue to suck while leaving out a huge swath of the youth that want to play at a competitive level. US soccer basically says if you’re a poor kid you can’t be a professional soccer player.

  31. Are the rules of the game different when you play as a visitor? Are the field measurements different to have the visitors team in disadvantage? Are the goals smaller for the local team? Are the refs paid to give advantage to the local team? The director, coach, player who agrees with these have my lifetime disrespect. YOU CANT GIVE EXCUSES BASED ON GAME RULES OR REGULATION WHEN YOU LOSE.

  32. Burley pisses me off most of the time, but he is right on point here. There is always an excuse. We have to ask if we want to be a great soccer or a “JAG” soccer nation. We have to answer that first.

They are playing some serious games and are too arrogant and too invested in being smug know it all morons to change course and admit they perpetrated a fraud ever since They propped BA and his gerryrigged record to loot the coffers of US soccer and develop absolutely no long term investment in youth development, and being the fraudulent entity that it has been, produced a weak willed lackluster, unpolished, entitled and heartless group of manufactured footballers.

Listen the problem the united states had now is about the coaches putting the right peices together. U.S already had the beautiful looking roster now but how the coaches use them matter now period. U.S is one of the top ten now in FIFA not medioca team.

  38. I will tell everyone here the absolute problem with US soccer. Here is the deal…there are 2 reasons the US men will never get past the round of 16 in the World Cup when they make it. 1 is because the best athletes do not play soccer here. To many parents put there kids in #1 football, #2 basketball and #3 baseball. If a country has to battle with so many other sports then there is nothing left to choose from. Brazil, Argentina, France, Italy, Germany, England and Spain…soccer is king there and basketball distant second. Cuba…bring many players to the US for baseball, and they are the best players because it is #1 in Cuba. All of South America including the smallest nations strive on soccer and the kids play it barefooted in the streets. The second reason, which is a bigger issue than the first, is because the kids who do play soccer here are not pushed by their coaches at a young age and because these kids do not play the game in the streets and back yards like other sports. What I mean is, soccer is to organized and the kids are not allowed to grow their skills and their craft by playing without coaches and refs…like other sports. If you ask great football players in the US where they learned the game I guarantee the best players in the NFL will tell you they learned by playing older kids in pick up games. Same with basketball. Ask Larry Bird, Julius Irving and Jordan thats how they learned their skill and they became the best in the world and the US basketball program will always be the best in the world because their players have learned the game outside on the playground.

  44. Team USA's men's soccer is only playing for national pride. None of the players on that team are willing to be better than good and played themselves by not getting better during the World Cup qualifiers. They don't want championships like Germany, Italy, France, or Brazil and are never willing to play for them. This is why as an American I never watch MLS or the men's national team because there are other sports out there that are getting more attention than the real sport of football, which Americans call soccer. There is too much concern over how many wealthy people who play the sport are on the team and never ever get the job done. They should provide the less advantaged with the opportunity to possibly change the direction of this team in the near future, but this team is FAR AWAY from that.

  45. One of the many reasons americans dont like footbal is all the hate they get from the rest of the planet americans stand alone and they know it so they stick to themselves and i dont blame them i would to and american football is way more exciting then our football

  46. Bro anybody can win any powerful team. The game is a game perseverance n luck sometimes but U.S got talents n superstars that play this game but is just that they loose the cool n lack of believe at a time in the field.
