  1. If the US finishes 4th I would say qualifying is an massive failure. The US has generational talent and player by player is better than Canada. But we have been widely inconsistent and other than perhaps the Mexico game and the second half at Honduras have been underwhelming. For GGG to say that performance was good while the result was not and that the US dominated this game is ridiculous.

  2. Here are what I I really think are the differences between Canada and the US.

    1) The system Canada deploys is designed around the talent available to start as well as the opponent, whereas the US system is designed based on how the coach wants the team to play regardless of the talent available to play.
    2) The expectations placed on the USMNT come more from the media and fans then the players themselves, where as in the case of Canada, its the players who have the expectations winning and making it to Qatar.
    3) There is clearly a big difference in the joy the Canadian players have in playing these games vs what you see with the USMNT.

I believe the US has more depth then Canada but they are not a cohesive unit playing for each other like Canada are. The sum of the parts of Canada produce more as a result.

  3. I think it's hilarious that EVERONE admitted before this round of games how extreme cold weather can affect skillful play and leads to a slog. And yet when the USA's skillful players look disjointed and out of sorts in the cold, people can't seem to understand why?

  4. It's another time of the year. One need to set goals and take bold steps in achieving them. Remember success is not obtained overnight. You just have to stop procrastinating and try what you have always wanted, to improve your life and wellbeing Investments will take you closer to that your dreams.

  5. Expectations have been set unreasonably high for the USMNT. Too much emphasis on results against Mexico, a team in decline. Too much focus on players abroad playing for big European clubs, players who have struggled for minutes, consistent form and have played out of their preferred position. Well guess what, Canada has players in Europe too. The guys on big teams, Davies and Eustaquio, weren't even on the pitch. Playing quality minutes at your preferred position and being in good form is good even if the teams are Lille, Besiktas, Hataspoyor or Brugge (note sarcasm….). The MLS guys were great for Canada including Laryea who hasn't even been on the teamsheet for Forest yet, but I have heard pundits blame MLS players on the US for lack of fitness. The possession advantage was irrelevant because Canada sat back. The shot advantage too because only one was tough. Berhalter's take on the game is a huge part of what is wrong. The biggest issue is no proven scoring ability.

  6. that cyle larin goal was also a very direct result of the fact that this game was played in hamilton and why canada chose this game to be played there in hamilton cause of that escarpment that hamilton has it creates a very canadian known wind draft and i guarantee you it played a role in turners goal kick being so short, and theres no way that turner and the us side could have or would have known or been prepared for it. so just some additional info for yall.

  7. I just don’t get why everyone is so confused, Canada have been the best team in concacaf throughout qualifiers, this is nothing new. I fully expected Canada to win, they’re just straight up the better team. Mostly because they have a coach that actually makes them better than the sum of their parts, something that Gregg has never shown he can do
