The parents of a California college student found dead in her dorm room Tuesday appeared on morning TV to share that their daughter took her own life after an autopsy found there was no foul play. Katie Meyer was a star athlete at Stanford University and was the captain of the school’s soccer team. Her parents, Steve and Gina Meyer, spoke with NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk in an interview that aired on “Today,” in which they revealed that “she died by suicide.”

Always remember no one have a perfect life even if they seem to have the biggest smile on they’re faces. So if you have the time in the day ask your children how they’re doing and what they have been up to lately because u can’t always trust a smile.

I think some people just don’t realize how good they have it and choose to let emotions get in the way which really sucks and if people would just stop and really think about how good they have it compared to others this wouldn’t happen as often a mean how many people could say their captain of the soccer team at Stanford and it sucks that people just don’t think about the good things and it really sucks people also need to speak out more too this just all sucks and it’s a tragedy

She literally looked like she had everything and still ended her own life. Proof that depression isn't always easy to spot and literally ANYONE can have it.
I'm sure if she could see the looks on her parents faces now she would take it all back. Anyone whose struggling please look at how it affects everyone like dominoes and reach out for help before it gets to this point. Much love! You got this!!

What a waste
Must have had some type of serious depression or anxiety issue. Think about it. To grow up in California to get into Stanford which almost no one gets into, I think their admission rate is under 2%. To make it onto the soccer team and be the starter and then take your life at 22 ?? This was beyond a tragedy.

More investigation needs to be done. Was it an intentional drug overdose? ? Perhaps in the months to come more will be said. Right now it's too fresh, too painful.
