  1. Ngl i'm a huge basketball fans but football (soccer) is the most poppular sport in the world. I Was in bali indonesia and Thailand couple years ago and in almost every alley i passed there's bunch of kids playing soccer only using their sandals as a goal post

  2. I'm a "football" guy, but even I know that the name "soccer" to describe the game actually predates the modern usage of "football".
That said, this is gonna be the sole and only reason the US will never win a FIFA World Cup – that second F doesn't stand for "soccer".

  3. South African english is similar to the UK, also the US english. I know we use the word "soccer", its used in school books and our 1st division league is PSL (Premier Soccer League), so i wouldn't say he is lowering his standards. He is South African

  4. I have no problem by calling football as "soccer". This is not an issue. It is ok. But using the term "football" for a sport where the ball is 90℅ played by hands ! I don't know what to say ! ?. By the way a Chelsea fan is here?.
