37. USA's defense while Howard was at keeper didn't do him any justice is whole career. The defense was average at best. While Stegen for Germany is a great keeper it helps when you have Lahm, Hammels, and Boateng. And Spain with Casillas has Ramos, Jordi Alba, and Pique. Brazil had a pretty filthy defense in 2014, Alves, Maxwell, Thiago, and Marcelo forget it. Just saying USA isn't on that level.
