  1. Anyone else in 2022 come back to this video and just think……..no dude. That sounds great but you broke the good players they play like MLS when they're with you……

  2. Why is my country doing this to themselves. I know we like to promote within the organization but come on!!! To be honest our American coaches do not have the experience to compete with A list coaches of the world. This is like putting a minor league coach against a major league coach. Let's be honest to ourselves to be the best US coach in the US really does not mean anything compared to the coaches from the tier 1 2 or 3 coaches in the world, their experience is limited to the US. It is incredible to me that the US cannot qualify in the concacaf. The concacaf have the weakest countries in soccer in the world. Ask yourself, how come the US cannot qualify in a soccer federation competing against nicaragua, el salvador, honduras, guatemala. These are the poorest countries in the world. These countries don't have resources. Why is that?? when the US team has so much talent.

  3. The USA may not have the most competitive league but the whole planet have watch them increase their level. Effective and dangerous (innocent at times). It’s a shame most Americans don’t appreciate what they have

  4. then why when he was playing mexico last time that we lost 3-0 why did he not change his tactics by not playing possecion game but going long mexico was high pressing us and he still did not change the tactics

  5. 1 year later and Berhalter is still refuses to put the best players on the pitch and add players like long Morris trap and Lovitz. Are we having fun yet ?

  6. Well Venezuela just beat us 3-0 and let me just say while I really like how dedicated Gregg Berhalter is to his style of play and tactics we simply don't have the right players to follow his system. He worked with colombus crew practically every week but he only sees the usmnt players like once a month he can't properly implement his ideas because he lacks time.

  7. Nothing wrong with giving tactics, specifically formations that can give numerical advantages over other formations, US soccers problems is two fold, we don’t have the technical players that can address specific tactics, speed of play, receiving the ball with the correct foot, playing the ball at the correct speed and at the right time, etc. the other issue is we still emphasize speed and athleticism over technical and tactical ability, so to play a possession based style of blame doesn’t work when you filter athleticism and speed.

  8. America won't improve till there best players and coaches leave America go to Europe and south America and learn from the best.your best players yedlin/weah/pulisic all play in UK/Germany look how far they have come on. America doesn't love football like the rest of the world does so the best players aren't there.look at Rooney best player in the mls by a distance but he's a shadow of what he was so was pirlo,Gerrard, giovinco, kaka and so on come and learn to play football and then you can start blaming people for America being bad.

  9. I've started taking an interest in US 'soccer' (grr) now that it seems to finally be taking off there. It's really weird hearing people with a US accent caring so much about the beautiful game, it's great to see though. From what I've seen I think the US fans need to be a little more realistic, it seems like you want to go from having a squad that can't compete at a high level (although were a semi-decent team not that long ago) to having one that can take on the best in the world overnight. For a team like the US the main tactic for competing against historically better teams is to work hard and be well organised defensively so that you're hard to score against. I don't know how much pace there is in that squad but if the US do start having success I'd expect it to be through a solid defence and counterattacking. Things do change quickly in football but a national coach can only work with what they've got available at the time. I'm under 40 and I remember when England were a fantastic side capable of outclassing some of the best in the world like a highly successful Dutch side full of superstars, then failed to qualify for a world cup (dark times), underperformed with a golden generation including failing to qualify for a Euro championship and are now better than we've been in decades despite having far fewer world class players (if any although lots of very high class players) but a much better team balance. Keep the faith, I heard that 90+% of the US fanbase are under 25s, your future looks bright.

  10. I think is style of play needs a very talented player to put together the plays. I just don't see that player in the USA. He literally needs a second coach in the upper midfield and I just don't think that player exist in the American roster.
