  1. I think the US team is scary good. With all of the criticisms thrown at this team they are still in 2nd place. The US will make the WC. The main weakness I see is the Coach. He does not have the kill or be killed instinct. He is too nice. The US team will need to resolve their identity crisis otherwise their exit will be quick in the WC and this would be a shame for such a talented team. i watched the game and from my Canadian perspective, it was sad to see how US was conducting their game. No plan, no structure and no leadership to hold the players accountable. All this can be fixed – change the Coach.

  2. The US misses Landon Donovan. They need a replacement for LANDON in this era. The attacking third play must be drastically fixed..The Midfield is very good and the defending is good as is the goal keeping. Fix the attacking third play and the US becomes amazing. They need three strikers.

  3. I am Canadian and give Canada tremendous credit for the result and excellent tactics and counter attacks. On the other hand the US are a talented and under achieving decent team. Good Goalkeeping usually , very good Midfield and poor in the attacking third. If the US fix their play in the attacking third they become world class. The US needs three excellent strikers and they will be amazing. I feel compassion for Kristian Pulusic because he has battled depression and he looks burned out. Kristian Pulusic is a very good player when healthy and happy. Bruce Arena is the best North American Coach ever and one of the greatest coaches in history.

  11. We need to have more enforcers in the team, we are getting bullied in the Concacaf. I saw it in Jamaica and El Salvador and now in Canada. Makes us look soft when we are the ones getting injure all the time.

  12. I've never once seen this team look organized in the final third under Gregg. They defend well, but have no ideas around goal. I'm not seeing any clear patterns other than aimless crosses and panic shooting.

  15. The Panama loss is what hurt us. Berhalter playing with some bullshit lineup, set that team out to fail. 2 losses in WCQ at this stage isn't bad. But when you tie El Salvador away, Jamaica away, and Canada at home, coupled with a loss to Panama away, this is what happens. The US have been awful on the road, and in the next round of games, we have 2 tough away games.

    US could drop from 2nd to 4th really easily.

  17. Gregg Berhalter is a horrible coach and that is the problem. My division one coach used to say that if a few players play bad then it is the players fault. If all the players play badly then it’s the coaches fault. He also is clueless about how to change the game with the right substitutions and tactics. Triple Moron is an average coach at best in our mediocre MLS League. We will make it to the World Cup but unless we get a favorable draw then Gregg is not talented enough to get us through. Moreover, we are fortunate that Mexico is fading because of their age because we would be fighting for fourth without our wins over Mexico. Lastly, USA will never make it in the top five in the World until the politics of the MLS is involved with USMNT. We can only pray Triple Moron gets fired before 2026. Jesse Marcsh could take us farther but Gregg Belrthalter is not skilled enough to take the USMNT very far.
