  7. Sweden came in with a smart pame plan and quietly took the US team down with smart football. You don't always win by being stronger and running faster. Soccer can be won by controlling the ball or frustrating you opponent with good defensive play. I can see that there are still TONS of people who still don't get that from the US. Including that loud mouthed brat Hope Solo. What a disgrace.

  9. After watching Sweden win against Brazil on PK's. I can see why Hope Solo said that Sweden's team were cowards. They play for PK's w/ everybody playing back through the whole game. Reminds me of the NBA when the big guys played at the half court line on offense. The rest of he time they played 2-on-2 or 3-on-3. It's also like fouling the bad foul shooter. Either the rules change or soccer will become the most boring sport. It will be ultra boring if everyone adapts this strategy. Not the way the game was intended to be played. Some could argue that it is a successful strategy but it is so boring to watch. Defense wins championships. Ugh! Thud, thud! That's the sound of soccer falling off the table if this style is adapted and there are no rule changes to stop this-the four corners for soccer.

Sweden beats US on penalty kicks and they're "cowards." Doesn't feel so good now that the shoe is on the other foot does it girls???? SUCK IT UP!!!

  15. The referee needs to be fired. US team supposed to get penalty kicks, and more yellow cards to Sweden team. Penalty kicks is a bad system to judge merit.

  17. The US women looked like skinny men with long hair playing against beautiful models. The US team was defeated as soon as they took the field. Looks play a HUGE part in womens sports… show me a homely womens team and I'll show you a bunch of losers.
