  3. Women say they produce more income and so they should be paid more. Why don't they break away from the men and negotiate separately with FIFA? They also have to accept the trial judges finding that they were offered the same deal as the men and rejected it. They are looking for a political solution. they want congress to force Fifa to pay the same bonuses to women as men. Fifa will just move the tournament.

    if they argue for a revenue percentage then it is fair, but I heard they rejected a deal like that in exchange for benefits etc. men didn't start off with any better a situation at all.

    women need to generate revenue and figure out how to make their entertainment value.

    what if every World Cup you took the top 4 women's teams and did an elimination tournament against 4 of the host cities under 15 boys(amateur who do not get paid). market it… development… all net profit goes to women

  7. The sense of entitlement is ridiculous. Some of us have to work for £18k a year and they're complaining about earing millions. I'd play for Liverpool for free and work at the same time. Its just a game. Its not like they're contributing to science and changing the world.

  13. I don't think the women signed a bad deal. They were coming from a different perspective than the men. The men all had salaries with club teams and such and didn't need a guaranteed pay from the national team that the woman needed. In the end it cost the women money but they got the security they wanted.

  15. The Female soccer team gets all this benefits, and the males dont. The Male soccer team they wanted money, thats why their contract its about money, no benefits. The same went to the female soccer team, but they rejected the contract and wanted benefits and less money. Soo this is not about SEX DISCRIMINATION, its about who can make more money.

  18. Women are the reason why women don’t get paid the same as the men. Most women don’t watch sport let alone buy anything related to that sport so women’s revenue is way down on what the men’s revenue is. Sport is a business, so what ever that business makes you earn it’s that simple.

Revenue is brought in by entertainment value in sports this is your skill, and your skill is in equity with a young adolescent male. The us women’s team by percentage of total revenue makes a substantially higher percentage than the men. The skill bracket for women is also less due to the only have 24 teams play for the cup and many countries not allowing women to play soccer as a career. I’m tired of listening to victims say America sucks as they make an income of a million dollars per year to be a figure. The women declined pay for play because they don’t have insurance or a regular job basically. The men have their professional club pay for the insurance, pto, maternity leave, dental, child care. This whole thing is ridiculous. I’m just happy the courts are objective factual people and threw the case out on the merits of its financial blunder.

  34. So let me get this straight. They signed a low risk, low reward contract which guarantees base pay and absolute full coverage benefit on things like health, dental, maternity, injury, etc etc. They signed this after rejecting the pay to play contract (high risk, high reward) that the men signed which has no base pay, no benefits but they make a bit more from each game they play. Now because they won the World Cup (which was the high risk) they are now angry that they did not sign the more lucrative contract, and are now suing for not only the benefits of the pay to play contract (which they rejected at first) but to also keep all the benefits of the existing contract they signed as well. Why do we enable women to act like this?

    I use to enjoy watching Canada, US and Brazil as they been most dominant woman’s teams… now won’t ever watch a USA game again… refuse to support when they can’t see how dumb this argument is

  37. The man's team pays it way , because people go and watch their games . The woman's team loses money at every game they play . So who makes up the shortfall of the woman's team ? Well Lordy Lordy the shortfall is made up out of the profits from the man's team . Now that is all facts . The ladies should just shut up , maybe more people would pay to watch the ladies team if they were at least good enough to beat a team of 14 or 15 year old BOYS. The score was 5 to 2 , they gave up five goals to a group of male kids . And they want more money ? It's a joke
