A huge win after a long fight for equal pay for the women of US soccer



The United States Soccer Federation (USSF), the United States Women’s National Team Players Association (USWNTPA) and the United States National Soccer Team Players Association (USNSTPA) have agreed to a deal that achieves «equal pay and set the global standard moving forward in international soccer.» CNN’s Brynn Gingras reports.

  1. Zimmerman reminds me of the guy who says, "I am against abortion! (I never score anyway what difference does it make to me?)" The women's team is not "better". If they played against the men's team, they probably wouldn't be able to score a single goal and would lose by a score of 10-0, 12-0 more if the men played their hardest. In two years time, the women's team is going to be dominated by men who couldn't make the men's team and now identify as women. I think the men must have represented themselves in the negotiations and fell for the argument, "You know how easy it's going to be for you to get laid if you agree to this deal?"
    YA? Really?

    Actually Fifa shouldn’t have made a REPLICA of the most honored tournament again for women.Females should have been sent on the same pitch as men where each females will not play again in life after a tackle from Sergio Ramos.

    Still now when Men's money are gonna be STOLEN we hear nothing.
    No wonder CNN is a $h!t and CNN+ got it’s equal payment.

  22. It’s crazy how the media just takes the woman’s team word as fact instead of the words on the contracts, or the revenue and potential revenue each team can make. They really think questioning a claim makes you sexist.

  23. WHy CNN is only comparing 2014 Men's pay to 2015 Women's pay. Why not compare year 2019. USMNT = $0 that year.
    Also talking about the UWNT lawsuit which was later rejected by the judge as it turned out, women got more money.
