People don't seem to understand the fair pay agreement. The women must share their earnings from WC wins with the men as well. It's not salaries, that is dictated by your worth. It's what the federations sharing profits between them, which is good for over all development as well. The women never had the impression they could compete with the men. The agreement had to do with their succuss in THEIR leagues.
Did Serena just backpedaled? She used to be such an “equalist” in regards to female and men tennis.
Now that she tipped her lips into male play all of the sudden she starts giving non answers like “men’s tennis is a completely dif game than a woman’s tennis” how about just give it straight. Muscle mass has absolutely ZERO effect on a persons tennis ability. Serena Williams has MORE muscle mass than 95 percent of MALE professional players. Serena Williams would lose to the male player ranked 1000 because she CHOOSES to not train as hard as males or as long and as intense as males. To beat other female players, Williams does not need to train as hard and as intense as male players.
I don't need Serena Williams to tell me she would lose to a pro. It's basic biology and critical thinking.

When I was in high school…a long time ago…I played football(American)…The girls soccer team challenged us to a game. They were district champions. We killed them. Everyone of us was bigger, faster and stronger than them. It was a complete blow out. This nonsense has to stop.

There are ~300 state champions in boys HS basketball each year. The WNBA champion would struggle to win games against 275 of them. They likely beat the teams from schools with 300 students, but even that’ll be tough.

Growing up I played competitively in the us soccer league for youth development, and we would do scrimmages with the female representatives for our city and we just blew past them.
In all fairness, they were physically strong, but they just could not keep up with out conditioning and technical superiority. At the end of the games they could not admit defeat, even still, continuing with all the bravado and arrogance like nothing happened.
