Dino Bontis (Instagram: dinobontis) is a goalkeeper born in 2004. This video represents a compilation of some highlights during the 2013-14 indoor soccer season when he played for Hamilton Sparta 2003. Dino also trained with Just 4 Keepers. He currently plays for Toronto FC Academy (2004s). The Toronto FC (2004s) won the U15 USSDA National Championships in June 2019.
He attends Hillfield Strathallan (Ontario, Canada). He was born in Canada but also carries a Greek passport given his family’s heritage.
2017 UPDATE: Dino Bontis played for Toronto FC Academy at the U13 CONCACAF SSCL club championships in August featuring top teams from Canada, USA, Mexico, Costa Rica, Honduras, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago, etc. Dino won the U13 Golden Glove Award for top goalkeeper in the CONCACAF tournament.
2018 UPDATE: Dino played for Toronto FC in the OPDL U17 division (playing up 3 years) and did not let in a single goal all season. In July, he competed with his U14 team and won the Montreal Impact International tournament without letting in a goal.
2019 UPDATE: Dino is competed in the USSDA U15 Mid-American division. The team finished the season undefeated and Dino garnered six shutouts. The Toronto FC (2004s) won the U15 USSDA National Championships in June 2019 beating LAFC 3-2 in the championship final. Dino was selected to play for Canada’s U15 National Team and competed in the U15 Concacaf championships where they beat Mexico 2-0 and lost to Slovenia 2-1 in the semi-final. Dino secured two shutouts for Team Canada vs Mexico and El Salvador.
2020 UPDATE: Dino was scheduled to compete in the USSDA U17 Mid-American division prior to the cancellation of the league due to COVID-19.
