  1. The Mls is growing everyday with amazing attendance all around the leauge and youth development programs for each team. Soccer viewership is growing at an insane pace. There is soccer on all day in USA. Meanwhile we had players like Donovan and Dempsey have excellent performances in Europe. Dempsey was 4th leading goalscorer in the epl one year he scored a golazo against juventus in the Europa cup. Donovan had a loan spell at Everton where the players and manager David Moyes raved about him

  2. I mean you can't fix ignorance like fifa Peru I mean wow. His sentiment towards American soccer is shared by some people around the world but it is undeniable soccer is on the rise big time in this country and we are without a doubt top 20 in the world in soccer. I think were 14. That's out of 209 nations. Quarter finals in the 2002 world cup. Won our group in 2010. Beat Spain in confed cup and were runners up in 2009 we had a 2-0 lead at halftime

  3. So how is that HISTORIC time going to help current team? The US is currently fighting a second place spot with Honduras. If the US beats Mexico on the 26 then I'll say they're heading in the right direction.

  4. another typical answer from the fan girls hahaha… To be honest idk how the past is helping the current team lol. and once they made it to the semis they disappeared the next half century lol … Its all about progress, present, and future. fyi that team was mostly comprised of euro immigrants, but regardless who was the team, its not helping the US at all…

  5. How am I offended if this is football not the debate team discussing politics? History or no history very typical of you dumb fans bringing in other topics on to this sport.

  6. There is no luck. either you make them or you don't. either you're at the right time or your not. friendlies are meaningless, but it it a good experince for mls players to prove them selves.

  7. Plus, I would say that US goal was all luck since all they did was defend and defend. Mexico had a rough night but its all good not taking any credit from the US. just dont get too excited since even klinsman said that winning friendlies are meaningless.

  8. So now the brazilian olympic team is not great since it was a youth tourny? cmon dude, seriously its like saying that they the two historical friendlies don't count since the stakes are very low and are meaningless. Props to the US for defeating great spain but it doesn't mean anything since Mexico beat brazil '99 and won the cup. Im pretty sure you're going to say that mexico never wins anything outside their country.

  9. USMNT may not have medals, but they did beat A LOT of great teams over the years. they beat italy in italy! mexico in mexico with basically MLS players. they beat spain in 2009. I wanna see mexico beat top teams in their ground and no "brasil" dosen't count because that was the youth for the olympics.

  10. So now you are changing the topic from football to other sports in the olympics? haha what a looser. I mean I do give credit where its due since the US dominates but we are in discussing football terms. This is just an excuse what the US fan girls bring up when they have nothing else to say lol hahaha

  11. USA has fallen WAY behind Mexico now.
Mexico is undefeated for how many games? i lost count to tell the truth.
USA meanwhile is struggling to beat Jamaica and other poor carribean countries.

  12. Oh really? I don't see a lot of hispanic stars up and coming. And how hasn't Jurgen Klinsmann done anything for us? Under him we've beaten Italy and Mexico in Mexico. The latter being something we've never done before. The US may not win the world cup in 2014, but we have the athletic ability as a country to do it. The problem is that the US is too enamored with Basketball and Football (both great sports) Other countries can't compete with us in those sports. Soccer is just not as big yet.
