  1. GGG is Steve Sampson 2.0. He's leaving out proven talent because they don't fit his brilliant "system". Hopefully GGG's ego won't cause us a repeat of 98 in Japan when Sampson coached us to finish dead last in the entire tournament.

  2. I honestly believe if required Ferreira and Sargent could slide out to play Morris or Arriolas roles if need be. Gio, Pulisic, Weston, Adam’s are starter locks. Musah, Weah Aaronson should get time. So why not get a true #9 in there. Especially when we’ll have to sit back a bit against England and were down or need a goal in last 20

  3. I think everyone is blowing this way out of proportion. The striker position is such a subjective position because the only thing that matters is goals scored during the WC. Pefok is nursing an injury and it makes sense he's not a part of camp. But the conversation shouldn't be WHY Pepi when Pefok is getting snubbed. I don't see why Pefok isn't a dead candidate for the WC Roster. And Pepi has singlehandedly ignited this team. The dude barely played minutes at Augsburg and he's already started to catch fire at Groningen.

Pepi has a lot of upside and Pefok, let's hope he ends up in Qatar.

  4. Why is nobody talking about Tim Ream ? He has been in great form with a premier league side. Not to mention he captains Fulham and has been playing at this level for years , yet we call up two MLS center backs who are not on the level of Ream ?

  5. Pepi is one dimensional. Jus A big body on crosses. No on ball skill whatsoever. I will say this, without him scoring those 3 goals. We might not even be in the world cup

  6. I agree Pefok deserves the call but I also agree that GGG OWES Pepi. I also hold Gregg responsible for hurting his confidence even during WCQ. He kept benching Pepi for Zardes even when Pepi was on fire. That messed with Pepi confidence and for no reason.

  7. I understand why ggg is brining pepi, but why in the world bring Morris over pefok? I would rather have a 4th striker in camp and see if pefok can score off the bench late in games instead of a the 6th ranked winger who has 5 guys ahead of him who are better.

  8. Us made it to the world cup despite Gregg Berhalter, not because of him. Brandon Vasquez is the only striker that we don't know how far his ceiling and potential goes. And is on fire in the league Yet he gets snubbed for a guy who hasn't scored in a very long is time is absolutely crazy.

  9. Herc articulates why the U.S. remains a 5th or 6th tier national team. Taking Ricardo Pepi because he "saved" Berhalter's job is pathetic and shows what a Mickey Mouse organization USMNT is. Snubbing Tim Ream for the likes of Walker Zimmerman or Aaron Long is equally scandalous. And don't give me the B.S. that the Berhalter is looking to play flowing, progressive football which doesn't suit 34 year old Tim Ream, because Fulham play better, more progressive, modern and incisive football than USMNT has ever in it's existance. Also, Zimmerman is 29 and Aaron Long is 30, hence barely younger and playing a standard of football that isn't even in the same galaxy as Ream. Can't wait to see the U.S. crash out with an 0-0-3 record. Go Canada!!!
