  1. Lalas is talking about just getting out of the group is not an achievement. Reality is in Europe alone there is ENG, FRA, ESP, GER, NED, DEN, BELGIUM, PORTUGAL, that’s 8 right there. Before Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Senegal and Ghana who all have stronger squads. Look while there are more Americans playing at higher level clubs in Europe let’s face it their best player is barely a squad player at Chelsea. People need to be reasonable, if success was based just on size and wealth Russia would be a football power as well. This team can do something special but it’s young and this negativity won’t do it any good.

  2. When was "swagger" ever associated with a GGG team?? It's amazing how the GGG butt kissers over the last two years are suddenly pointing out the weaknesses he's demonstrated over and over and over again.

  3. I feel like this idea that Greg was going to force a certain system all else be damned was discussed early on in his reign. Maybe he even discussed it himself. I didn’t watch the games but the general comments make it sound like the team is playing a system that does not suit the players. It’s like we are watching a car crash in slow motion.

  4. These are issues we have had with this team under Greg before these games. Greg has to stop being stubborn and adjust his mindset to his "special" system.

  5. Fire this COACH now…..for God's sake America live in reality. You don't have the players to play a 4-3-3 system with a liability like ADAMS on the ball playing the 6 and distributing the ball???? IS THIS COACH FREAKING BLIND????????

  6. Alexi keeps saying it's not a meritocracy like he read that somewhere 😉 I guarantee you that every serious footie national team is run as a meritocracy. If Berhalter isn't running one he belongs in a commentary booth with Lalas. He's fulloshite, but he can talk 🤣🤡

  7. As much as I love the analysis, I do wonder….Berhalter and Alexi were of the same (ish) generation. Would Alexi/could Alexi/has Alexi considered coaching? Perhaps there is more money on the sidelines, but would it not be interesting to see him coach for a cycle. Don't get me wrong, this is not criticism. I think two things are immutably true: (1) He sincerely want the U.S. to succeed; and, (2) I believe he can do it. Whatever that means. I would love to see that scenario lead to winning, maybe more than with Berhalter. Lalas loves U.S. soccer and I would be all-in for giving him a cycle to see what's what. The team is young and he has passion for it. Has the U.S. produced a more passionate advocate?

  8. This World Cup will be a Disaster, you can't beat the Best Teams in the World with a Bad Coach. We don't have energy and personality, because GGG doesn't have energy and personality. But his worst trait is how stubborn and naive he is

  9. The funny thing is I expect the Iran game to be brutal for the US. The US will be a HUGE away team. Everyone's worried about the British teams yet given the US 'nerves' or fear I can see them getting rolled then by Iran in the Middle East…

  10. System above talent, having center backs like Zimmerman and Long trying to build from the back when they're not even ask to do it from their clubs in MLS is mind boggling. Also not having Musah bring the ball up through the midfield was a huge glaring weakness we have.
This isn't the transfer window when you have a bigger pool of players to pick from, you're stuck with small pool who has passports, pick the most talented players and build a system around them not the other way around.

  11. The Guardian pointed out that the US is the third best team in Concacaf after Canada and Mexico. And Concacaf isn't exactly the Premier League. The US is a mediocrity. Don't believe the Fox hype.

  12. Agree with your assessment, the system and some players are the problem imo, its the nerves and we need personality Greg say's?…give me a break. Thank you for the video update, gave a Sub and a Like.
