  1. 4 years ago it has come to my attention that you were bemoaning the fact that he was correcting your English and so in correcting his English while he was correcting your English you told him that he should " please try to look inteligent and spell it correctly yourself, " ….

SADLY for you, you have mis-spelt " intelLigent "….

    Dear, Oh ! Dear..

  2. Like World War 2 you mean ?

Where were you in 1938 or 1939 or 1940 or most of 1941 ??

I tell you where you were FUCKING NOWHERE…

Its only when the Nips nipped you that you got off you fat arses..:)

  3. If England won the World Cup then EVERY home and every office/factory/street would celebrate…

We are STILL celebrating our win in 1966 …well I am, anyway 🙂

  4. I have to disagree on that. It doesn't SEEM like it's not popular here. but it is. And it's gradually growing by the day. The media can be douchebags if they want. it won't prevent this sport from being the #1 sport in the US. And one day it will happen. just have faith. That's all i gotta say. And on a side note. Go San Jose Sharks.

  5. But that's just it, the media doesn't care because soccer doesn't generate ratings for them. Why? Because it's not a popular sport here. Plain and simple, blame the media if you want, but the fact remains it's not popular.

  6. I have to disagree. Soccer has grown immensely in this country. the only problem is that the Media doesn't talk about. You hardly here anything on TV about soccer. you hardly see anything in Newspapers about soccer. the internet is like the only source of media that has soccer-specific websites That's like a blip in the radar though. If the Media cared a bit more, people would realize how good soccer really is. Not to mention if our men's team won the World Cup. It will happen one day

  7. I'm not comparing them skill wise, I also am a fan of both sports. If you were thorough and read the previous comments I'm simply responding to the people, who I strongly disagree with, that keep saying Soccer is one of the most popular spectator sports in the US or will quickly become the most popular spectator sport even overtaking NFL football. It's just not going to happen in this country.

  8. comparing Soccer to American Football is like comparing a Lemon to a Lawn Mower.Soccer may be my favorite sport but I also like American football, baseball, basketball, etc.

  9. That didn't set anything straight. Soccer is a fringe sport in the US, especially compared to the NFL.

The NFL made 11 billion in revenue in 2011. MLB was next closest at 7 billion. NBA 3.8 billion. NHL 3.3 billion. MLS comes in at a whopping 280 million, far behind "The Big Four" leagues.

In addition 36% of US sports fans say the NFL is their favorite sport, followed by MLB and College Football at 13% each. NHL and NBA at 5% each.

Soccer at 1% is right behind Track and ahead of Bowling.
