  1. I feel sorry for pefok under Greg his miss against Mexico has defined him in the eyes of Greg and alot of American fans yet someone like Ferria, Wright, roldan and the rest ofGreg's boys have missed 10 times the opportunity and played way times ten pefok who is showing in a top league can be amongst the leaders in goals but somehow is not a legit scoring option in the usmnt

  2. What does at the 9 mean 🤣 and the guy at the bottom called it a touchdown line 😭 American “Soccer” talk is so cringe man 🤣 Ps The England team is worth 1.5 billion dollars. Your gonna get smashed up don’t get it twisted.

  3. England fans are beating their chest way more than 2010, and in 2010, you had Rooney, Gerard, and monsters on that squad — and played miserably. Granted that was the second best USA team ever, especially between 2009-2010, but still, no on efears you. You gave up two against IRAN!!!! And if there's any consolation, your showing was an anomaly, just like Spain's. Why? Iran and Costa Rica's backlines were as bad as the Brazilians in 2014 Semi against Germany. You're not facing a trash backline with USA and you won't score over 2, and that's a fact. You're playing a formidable defense with an offense that should be slightly better than Iran.s That's why I see 2-1 max England or 1-1 draw. Back to reality the English come.

  4. Just wanna say that this is a great soccer podcast. As an American fan I get frustrated with some of our own American commentators/analysts for not understanding the diverse global culture of the game… but these guys always deliver passionate yet thoughtful analysis of the U.S. team and where it's at in the context of the tournament/other teams 🇺🇸⚽️🙌

  5. It seems Gregg B. has an "agenda", which includes promoting MLS players. That's a nice long term thing, but now we're in the heat of the battle of the WC, and that agenda needs to go on the shelf, and the Americans who got the chops, the Americans playing in the European leagues… that's who must be on the field. Great show gentlemen.

  6. In every position on the field the US cannot match England for quality and skill, even the players on the bench are miles better than any US players. There is no pressure on the England team and I don’t think they will go into the game overconfident, but they will want to get the job done now to get through to final 16, instead of waiting for wales match. Hopefully Southgate has done his homework and plays the same team as against Iran giving the players the freedom to score and play the possession game . I don’t think US has the skills to play the fast short pass game and certainly lacks the ability to finish in the final third , hence the 1 shot on goal versus Wales. All the pressure is on the USA players to play amazingly well to win the game and get out of the group. Your also underestimating Wales thinking Iran will definitely beat them. If Wales beats Iran that will just add more pressure on US having to beat England. You appear to just hope that all the games go in favour of the US irrespective of the disparity between the players.

  7. Not having a number 9 that can stretch the field in transition seems to be working out just fine for France, and Brazil for that matter. What do these perennial powerhouses understand that Americans can’t seem to get through their heads? Your number 9 doesn’t need to be fast! Speed is a bonus, not a requirement. Weah is a natural winger, and there are three capable strikers on the roster.

  8. This is our problem. The English aren’t that good. All English players are over priced and there for we panic on paper. We have to press from the front line. We have to put pressure on the two center backs and get in behind the 3 and 2 spots. We also don’t need to build out of the back we just need to pressure properly on the field. We are only going to get about 4-5 solid chances maybe and we have to make them count. We have to get stuck in and win the first and second ball. USA 2- England 1

  9. Not sure about the notion that all the pressure's on England. England has a much larger margin for error going into match 2. They have 3 points and a +4 goal differential. They are likely to advance even if they lose to us. There is way more pressure on us, based on current circumstances. I suppose you could argue that there is always more pressure on England because of the media pressure they always endure, but I think on Friday it's the US who will be feeling the pressure.

  10. Who the US play or where they play them, is of no importance. The gulf in skill, ability and class is just too much for the US to overcome. Mexico aren't close to the level of England, so another moot point.

  11. you're delusional, charlie. As much as I like your intel on soccer, you – like most americans – are delusional. Saudi Arabia beat Argentina for reasons that are outside of the Yanks' control, such as: 1) they had chemistry (3/4 of their starting XI play for the same club, day in day out), 2) they are fighters, while americans are pansies, so you can never replicate with your current crop of players what the Saudis did against Argentina, and 3) they have a coach and they had a plan that they executed perfectly because they believed in their coach. You, americans, have no coach, no footballing DNA, no plans (other than lump the ball forward and hope for the best). So, while you can indeed take the grit and fighting spirit of the Saudis as an example, you will never be able to replicate that in a meaningful way because you don't have a plan and you don't have a plan because you don't have a coach and without a coach, a plan, and footballing DNA you simply can't compete (much less beat England) at this stage. And that's what makes you delusional, as much as it pains me to say it because I really do regard you as one of the most cerebral and knowledgeable pundits on youtube

  12. I don't understand this pressure narrative. If England drew with Iran and needed to win this next game I would understand. The pressure would be on if the US beat England and Wales beat Iran.

  13. If we draw England and Iran Draws Wales, then were all at 4-2-2-1 in points, with us in 3rd on 2 pts. I prefer this situation most because it puts us in control of our own destiny. Just win against Iran and we're through.

  14. Their faces don't match what they are saying.. England have 3pts so there's not much pressure if they had lost or drawn that s pressure winning 1st game with plus 4 goal difference doesn't put you under pressure…

  15. We have a few special players, but goals will come from Pulisic. No one on our team can take anyone on the dribble the way that he can get at the slower England defenders and score on his own. Even if he does not score a goal, if he goes at people, he will draw attention and create openings for Weah and Aaronson

  16. England only needs to win one game to go through to Ro16 so I believe England will be very attacking against the USA to get that win and then rest players against Wales. Good luck to the USA though I hope you manage to go through to the next round with England

  17. USA was definitely told by the staff to do whatever it took to not concede in the second half so it was clear they didn’t make a priority to possess the ball and play fluid soccer the way they did in the first half bc no one on this team
Inclining the coach( from a coaching standpoint) had been to a World Cup. I almost don’t want to count yedlin bc he’s so Far beneath his prior ceiling it was almost like we were playing a man down when he came on. That was truly the best and most fluid 50 or so mijutes of
World cup soccer we have ever had and to heaths point the youthful inexperience reared it’s head when no
One stepped up and said hey! Play the same exact way we did in the first half from tactics standpoint. And that conincided with bringing on 3 mls players who worked hard but had no buinsess being out there over the likes of DLT and especially gio and scaly bc of the quality opponents those guys face compared to concacaff level you see in the mls. That’s not to insult the mls it’s just truth. And Gregg is a huge reason that we dropped points in the match. But to give credit no
One believed me that I thought Gregg would play a double pivot and that would be the key to replicating Adams form for Leeds and now you will see BA at the 10 and weah the 9 and gio the RW with pulisic LW. And musah the other 6. It a dream lineup to be able to break Englands press and much like we did against wales force their midfielders to play up on musah and BA leaving the gaps in front of the CBs for weah and pulisc and gio to receive the ball and create. We’re seeing this one out. 1-0

  18. It's clear the English are starting to feel the pressure. On Friday night we will remind them that we broke their little empire, took it, and made it our own and that we have spent the better part of a century bailing them out of problem after problem and ALL of this we have done for them happily, kindheartedly despite not receiving a shred of gratitude or thanks in return! So bring it on limeys and come to daddy ✊️

  19. England is all talk no walk. Overhyped and underachieving team nothing more nothing less. All the pressure on them i mean they HAVE to win. Its not like they are remotely good at any other real sport apart from soccer. Its the only thing these sad "chaps" have got!. Absolutely none to fear from these scrawny limeys as long as berhalter plays his cards right…

  20. How is the US going to score? They have been terrible at scoring goals… England I believe will win 2-0 hope I'm wrong lol, they are the better team and well we have Greg…that alone is a half a goal for England. lol

  21. Re: Wales, re-emphasizing some of Heath's points, in 2nd half, USA had several break opportunities 3 on 4, 4 on 4, one other that I recall and for some inexplicable reason, instead of pressing an opportunity and daring to believe they could add to their goal differential and increase their chances of winning the match, they would stop their advance and play the ball back, a la Arriola…as if 1-0 was assured and in the bag…at some point, regardless of tactics coming from the sideline, the players on the pitch have to take ownership and show belief in themselves.

  22. 🤣 at the USA shill, "if we are sound defensively, if we have better delivery, if we have skills of Messi and Mbappe and Neymar, if if if…England will blow these scrawny Jabroni jobbers from the USA out.

  23. Heath, to follow up on Yedlin he also adds nothing in the attack. In the Wales game he forgot where the touch line was and it gave Wales another possession. 2 minutes later, Bales pen.

  24. Also bit weird to compare Mexico with England. Mexico have never made it past the quarter finals, and hosted it twice.

Whereas in the last 5 years, England coming off the back as Euros finalists, World Cup semi finalists, u20 world champs, u19 euro champs (x2), and u17 world champs.
