  1. Nepotism: Have you completely forgotten about Bob Bradley and his son Michael Bradley?

Michael Bradley could be dead at the 75’ and passing directly to opposing players and yet he was NEVER substituted off. At times he was the USMNT best player (for about a 1 to 2 year window), but he was the USMNT’s Achilles Heel after the 75’ mark for Bob Bradley’s entire tenure.

  2. not a fan of Berhalter, The Reyna's suck,..the US Soccer Federation is at fault for this mess, they need smart new blood, to make better management decisions. I'm not sure Gio is that great of a player still. Tired hearing about Gio..

  3. Not so sure I agree that this is all on the Reynas… at the very least it is a shared blame by both sides.

Sure, what they did was backstabbing, but it all started with Gregg’s capricious mismanagement of players and roster selection, and then foolishly bragging about his questionable leadership skills while simultaneously throwing an 18 yo under the bus.

Just like Gregg rectified his situation, supposedly so did Gio Reyna by apologizing for his premadonna attitude.

On a certain level, the Reynas should have simply told Gregg to his face that he too did something stupid – and even worse – when he was 18 and leave it at that.

  4. A mature, detailed assessment. Thank you. I agree with > 90%:. Disagree about Berhalter:. He does not need to continue as manager. But he faces a much tougher road ahead than, I think, many acknowledge in finding work as a coach. Given what he has been through–he and his family–USSF should find a position for him. At least in the short term. If someone is made uncomfortable by that, that's sometimes the price of justice.
