    Meanwhile the only US goal was literally the ball hitting a heel and randomly swerving in an impossibly to catch arc into the goal. The most lucky, random goal of the tournament.

  3. The Dutch played a very smart game. Berhalter was out coached. They exploited US defensive weakness, in particular Zimmerman’s inability to pass or dribble. They were patient and clinical in their counterattack. They let the US wear out their legs. Perhaps it is a different game if Pulisic scores early, but the Dutch technical superiority was evident in their crisp passing on the counterattack. Lack of depth was exposed in the US midfield. The US showed tremendous growth this cycle, but they are not overall Top 8 talent. They finished exactly where their talent should have gotten them.

  4. Jake, I like you and I have been a long time subscriber. The USA really let us down vs Netherlands. Adams and Jedi were the worst. I hope for a better future, but I won’t lie.. I’m VERY DEPRESSED. 8.5 years wait and the defensive performance was TRASH. They played well until this game. I wish we played really well and just lost because Netherlands was better, but US decided to be a Huge let down.

  6. I feel that if we hadn't made 4 key mistakes, that this match gets close. I also feel that if the Dutch ever felt uncomfortable they would have just upped the energy and beat us anyway.

    The talent gap between these two teams was massive, putting on display the difference between good and elite.
