Ecuador beat Fiji 9-0 LOL. That 1-0 win in the first game really made all of the difference in the group stage.
In all honesty, we could have scored 2-3 more goals per game so even though we scored 6 goal we could have potentially scored 12 and have wasted to many chances. Giving up 0 goals though is huge. Overall, solid performances with room to improve but still a so much positive to take away.
Noel Buck would have been an upgrade but what about Esmir Bajraktarevic? I have not been very impressed with Halliday and his "crossing".
Three games of solid soccer. Great defensive performance. Glad to see great technical game at all positions (this was not always the case). Cowell was a little selfish at times, would have liked to see him use his teammates a bit more. Thid team should make a deep run.

Obed Vargas is having such a good tournament, and for the youngest player we have on the whole team thats very promising. I think hes a heck of a prospect, and hope he gets a move to Europe set up for when he turns 18.
Uzbekistan is handling Guatemala, so unless there are major upsets in group C tomorrow, we will play Uzbekistan in the round of 16.
