The biggest issue is that a number of these players haven't exactly been in the best form of their lives. My starters(4231):
ST: Balogun
LAM: Pulisic
CAM: Reyna
RAM: Weah
CM: McKennie
CM: Musah
LB: ARobinson
CB: Richards
CB: MRobinson
RB: Dest
GK: Turner
Turner, Dest, and Richards received little playing time with their clubs. Miles Robinson is returning from an achilles rupture. Pulisic and McKennie had forgettable seasons at Chelsea and Leeds. Musah was benched for much of Valencia's run in. Weah mostly played RB at Lille. The good news is that Balogun and Reyna were outstanding goal creators for their clubs; at least the sharp end of the spear will be razor sharp.
Brooks, imo, has been black-balled by the US Team. Only the departure of the rest of Berhalter's people from the coach staff will see Brooks back in the US fold.
