1. No one would care about Pulisic if he came to the MLS. People would take more interest in Reyna. We want to see our best players against the best competition not coasting in the MLS

  2. It just felt/looked like all 11 were too spread out everywhere even when building out of the back. And then when they were tighter the passes weren't specific enough and there were turnovers. If we had possession it was mostly in the back.

And Landon's comment would have been more appropriate if positioned as the best thing for MLS, but it's absolutely not the best thing for CP10.

  3. I've got a question. Is there any idea of Greg Berhalter had any influence 'behind the scenes' on this game or was it purely BJ? Just a thought. I have no 'insider' knowledge on jack-snot.

  4. It was very, very poor. We just couldn't move the ball from the backline to the midfield. The number of back passes with no attempt to move the ball forward was infuriating. The lack of movement upfield was terrible. We played a style that relied on going down the wing and pumping balls into the middle were a 5 9 Ferreira was up against 6 3 Center back. We completed 10 of 42 crosses and most occured at the end of the game.

  5. So. The game went to penalties only because the USA played one if its worst games "of all time"? Canada's play was just an afterthought, a bump in the road on the way to American greatness? They might as well have not even bothered to show up for the quarter-final/pre-championship coronation? Lol, get over yourself already. 🤣

  6. Love you guys , so smart, so great of real soccer takes , you are the quitis sential soccer channel, because you know, you have been there!!! The best soccer show, channel, in the world 🌎!!

  7. People hate on Roldan but with this group he should be starting. Busio was good. I agree with Heath and Jimmy that Caldwell brings something off the bench that won't necessarily translate to a full 90. I think he's got a high ceiling though.

  8. Herdman is the most annoying coach in world soccer. And a failure since qualifying for the last world cup. RIP Luis Suarez, meanwhile and more importantly.

  9. Young players gonna do what young players do. Experience can only be had one way. We certainly hope they learned some lessons. It was hard to watch, but in the end Turner saved the day.

  10. I agree Jimmy. That’s why I like Cowell. He’s not afraid to take players on. Robinson has go to learn to keep his hands behind back when he’s in the box. Ferreira looked better as a midfielder.

  11. It seems like Busio is getting better each game. He was in the box a lot and had a few shots on goal that weren't half bad. He kept trying and eventually got us the goal we needed.

  12. Zendejas has not been good. He has talent, but I think he takes one too many touches trying to make a play and loses the ball. He does this too much. Sands has been quietly good.

    My line up:

    Cowell-Vasquez-Ferreira
    Mihailovic-Busio
    Sands
    Jones-Neal-Robinson-Reynolds
    Turner

  13. My take – Canada and US are similar in style. Kind of like when a boxer fights another boxer. Kind of absorbed what the USA was to do. I think the player selection started to bite the coaching staff in this match. WTH is Morris doing still out there? Some players that we already KNOW won't be on the team by 2026 wasting time with this squad. The team is young and would have lost against Canada's A team for sure. Having said that. The Vasquez goal gets full credit. The USA deserved to win with this beautiful late goal. Canada got lucky to get a penalty to keep the game going. Then a great goal by Shackleburg in OT – the kid is fast and was getting by Reynolds more than once. But the USA pressed until the end and got the equalizer = Have to give them credit for getting that done. USA had the better keeper for the shootout and despite all of the issues, they fully deserved the win.

  14. You all are nuts. Canada’s 7 MLS starters and the US’s 6 MLS starters are equal. Canada had a game plan. The US was not better. They were given possession by Canada ON PURPOSE. Holy shit. Most of you have no idea what you are talking about.

  15. The front 3, by design, wasn't going to work. Gressell's whole gig is sending in crosses. TO WHO? If that's the plan, you play your big physical striker who wants to be fed balls in the air. With Jesus, who likes to drop and link, you need wings trying to get behind – and that's not what either Gressell or Zendejas do. If we are going to start Jesus (and how could we not after the last few games) Cowell and/or Morris would at least try to make the defense turn and run.
