As an athlete, I can assure you soccer is not a priority for any of these women. Actively rooting for foreign women's soccer teams at this point to knock out the US. Love to see the patriotism, work ethic and passion for the game embodied by all of the other teams. Exactly what the US women's team USED to be but is clearly no longer. I will celebrate when they're knocked out. And yes, I was one of those men supporting and going to women's games decades ago. That is 100% done…wouldn't put a penny into this team.

Gee, let's follow this. Game 1 against crappy Vietnam – 3 goals. Game 2 against Netherlands 1- goal. Game 3 against Portugal? 0 goals. Perhaps they should put Rapinoe out to pasture, get the entire team unified behind the flag they are playing for, and see that patriotism can be a powerful motivator to win an international competition.

I've never seen a futbol team that has the little viewership to begin with, and the U.S. rooting against them. I only feel bad for Morgan and a couple of other players who refuse to fall into the new "norm". Equal pay ? Are you serious ? For this level of play and lack of interest, no. If fortune 500 companies could just hire women to save money for say….maybe Engineers, Wall St./financial institutions etc. they would, but then they would lose to the competition in a year.
