  10. Men footballers are watching and learning from WWC 2023. Women are playing pure and attractive to watch football with no/less intentional dirty plays against the opponent. Some goals are historical and very technical only few men can score them that way. Two goals from The Nederlands girl Esmee against Vietnam, the Colombian girl against Germany and even Sophia's first goal against Vietnam are among the many best goals to mention.

The womens team is a mirror of the mens team, they play one shape and never adapt. Without Rose Lavelle in midfield, they need to change from a 4-3-3 to more of a 4-2-3-1, a 4-3-3 only works if the midfield is controlling possession and getting the ball to forwards in good spots, PORTUGAL, thoroughly dominated USA for 90 minutes and Vlatko never changed the shape or formation, The players are not the problem, they are good, Vlatko is the problem.

  17. I’m a longtime supporter of the WNT and I will continue to support them moving forward. My comments are from the perspective of tough love, not hate. What I would like to have heard was some version of this: No, we are not playing up to what we know is our level. We realized that after the European tour last year. Here are the issues we’ve identified and what we are doing to address them…. I hope they were trying to put on a brave face for the camera and that they are actually aware there are significant issues. Also, I’m tired of hearing the excuse that the game is getting tougher. While there is truth to that, e.g. Jamaica, that the game is getting tougher didn’t stop England from beating China 6-1, or the Netherlands 7-0 vs. Vietnam, or Sweden vs. Italy 5-0. Admitting there is a problem is the first step in addressing the problem. I hope they are aware of the issues; otherwise Sweden is going to send them packing.
