USA knocked out of Women’s World Cup by less than an inch



Two-time reigning champions Team USA were knocked out of the Women’s World Cup after losing to Sweden. The final score was decided by penalty kicks and a ball that broke the goal line by less than an inch. NBC’s Molly Hunter reports for TODAY.

  1. 100% worst team in the whole comp, i have never seen a country cheers for the loose of their team before but clearly the 'usa' soccer team does not have any support at all…they should be playing for free as no one wants them

  2. No one mention equal pay!! 😂 Lost to 14 year old boys, lost to a group of retired men and lost to Sweden. They are getting a equal cut of what they bring to the club lol😂

  3. The US Women…Megan Rapinoe chief among them…clearly alienated the fans. That much is obvious. Not only is this the worst finish by a USWNT at the World Cup, but now they have a poor relationship with the fans going forward. Megan Rapinoe leaves the USWNT worse off for the future than when she arrived. Good riddance to her.
