  1. Well perhaps the only other World team sport is basketball and the US in women (especially) and men (mostly) are world and Olympic champions. In the other sport football/soccer the US women's had a good run but you cannot dominate in football like you do basketball, it is an entirely different concept of team sport, not even Brasil which arguably presents the best men's roster can win always.

  2. This is a direct attempt at sabotaging the potential of USA soccer to stunt the competetiveness — the people in charge accepting bribes to hire the wrong people on purpose

  3. All comments about the arrogance might be true. People forget some countries still might not even want women competing…may have to walk miles for water? The US hands these girls ever imaginable advantage; and they have not been humble towards their opponents or circumstances. Happy for the rest of the world.

  4. Yeah, US Women team brought politics to the world cup, other countries brought futbol to World Cup. The downfall of US Women Soccer, hopefully the coaching staff learned their lesson and get those toxic women off the team.

  5. she. Megan rapinhoe destroyed the USWNT as much trump destroyed the GOP……… dude's don't even have any SKILLS……no footballing skills. HOW we long for. 1999 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Blaw Blaw Blaw
No one wanted to see this US team win and it’s because of their mouths and whining attitude and what they deserve and how they are oppressed
Mean while most of us are struggling check to check
Scrap this program and let them pay their own way if they wanna play

  7. Megan throws the game so the team didn't get the glory that she/he had experienced in her time. She should never have been there she is toxic for America and the fact she went to the white house under biden who was against gay marriage says it all.

  8. No respect.
They didn’t respect their country. National anthem.
They didn’t respect their opponent. Dancing and singing before a contest?
They didn’t respect their teammates. Common knowledge that Rapinoe bullied teammates if they weren’t in solidarity with her wokeness.

    What a disaster..

  9. USWNT won world cups because of the investment in the sport starting in early 2000´s. The U.S. was way ahead of the rest of the world. Now the rest of the world has caught up which is great for the sport. The U.S.team was arrogant and not focused on playing for their country. Rather, focused on individual glory and political ideals. Thank you Sweden for providing the PERFECT ending to The U.S. team exit from the 2023 WWC!

  10. I’m so sorry for my language but ducking finally someone is talking some sense on these shows. And what a relief it is to hear actual commentators saying it rather than hoping that it’s not true

  11. 3:33 I’m not sure why some were on the team with USA on the jersey.
They won’t sing the National Anthem to show pride in America… why be on the team?

People are allowed to share their political opinions, but don’t be surprised if people get angry, and then cheer when you lose. 🤷‍♂️

But, hey, they got paid. They got their money. I think they will get more than the winners— and they only made it to the final 16. 🙄

  12. I live in England. About 10 years ago, we started taking the womens game far more seriously. At that point, it was essentially an amateur sport. With the creation of the Womens Superleague, the top clubs in the Premier League all started to make the game professional, turning the players full-time, introducing sports science and training that was in line with the mens game, creating academies for young girls to develop them. Now, we're seeing some of those young players coming through the system and becoming top players. This is being replicated across Europe & S. America in a way it never has.

The reality is, for the longest time, the USA was one of the only countries who invested properly in womens soccer. As a result, they won a lot. But as often happens with empires, the pride comes before the fall.

The team spent too much time focusing on social and political issues, creating a reputation for devisive social activism. It's clear that certain members of the team became "too big to replace" which is a classic road to downfall. The reality is, Rapinoe is no longer a top level player. She has achieved a lot in the past, but she just isn't at that top level now. I refuse to believe that other players weren't available, but the top brass were so wedded to the legacy players that their judgement was clouded.

USA came into this world cup, for the first time facing a lot of very good, well developed sides and they were found wanting in all of their games. They can get to the top again in the future, but the reality is that there will have to be big changes. Sometimes, big teams have a bad game in an international knock out game and go out earlier than expected. That happens. But it isn't what happened here. USA were not good enough.

Rapinoes behaviour after the game was terrible. She was supposed to be the leader, the figurehead of that team and with that attitude, you're never going to rally your team around you. The loss was a bad one and it was deserved.

The only positive I can see is that this could cause a complete re-evaluation of the setup, because there needs to be a significant clear out at a time when USA can't afford to start slipping from their mantle as a top womens side. The stakes are too high, and the other teams are improving so much that it could lead to a period of irrelevance.

  13. It reminds me of what my uncle said during the 2006 world cup about Brazil, "That's a team that's been living off their reputation for a long time". Thought he was talking nonsense at the time, it's Brazil, they're always great, the next 15 plus years has proven him right

  14. When they refused to go to the white house when Trump was in power they basically said to the Trump voters we don't represent you. We only represent those Americans who voted democrat. Then the whole pay situation going to court when the court found they earned more than the men. Combined with Rapinoe's obnoxious personality and her woke anti-american victimhood narrative no wonder people dislike them. They are entitled and not a inch of humility amongst them. 😎

  15. Major overhaul is needed. No more entitled Wokester brats. If they don't respect their country, they will not be allowed to represent it. I'd rather lose with respectful honorable players, than win with disrespectful green-hair brats. Peace. 👊

  16. Alexi’s comments were good. Taylor’s were mostly good but a little off base. They brought the division, polarization, and revulsion to themselves by their actions. Saying “it’s just the world we live in” shows Taylor is out of touch. It’s not a “small segment” of America. It is a majority of America. When you are on the American national team representing America you are supposed to support America. Using that platform to disrespect America for your own ego and wallet is an absolute disgrace. Rapinoe is a disgrace. If she wanted to bash and denigrate America she should have done the honorable thing and resigned from the team, then run for office in her chosen political party.

  17. The blinding ignorance of leftisism is to blame for the majority faults of the uswnt. I hate bringing politics to sports. But it's the truth and yall know it. Equal pay is built on a mountain of lies and the weaponization of empathy

  18. The world caught up and US women are no longer dominating. What that means is that sadly Football will loose more fans in America now that their women team cannot even go to a quarter final nor a semi final. It's sad but all the efforts to bring football to America are lost beacuse their incompetence and greediness. And having messi in there wont make any change.

  19. Why is the dislike for the women's team such a mystery?? Rapinoe got up and said "Fuck Trump" at a parade. I'm not a Trump fan but really?? We have a rule at our rec league "No political discussions". Why because it is devisive. You are there to play your best as a united team. Rapinoe brought politics into it and created division. So don't surprised when people cheer against her.

  20. Until the USWNT starts recruiting real soccer players that can play with pride and heart, instead of these "women" with an agenda that doesn't have anything to do with the game, the disgrace will continue.

  21. Everyone paying attention saw this coming. It’s no different than what happened to US basketball.

They are “polarizing” because about half of America hates women, especially gay women, that take a stand for what they know is right.

That’s all there is to it. Don’t give the “controversy” oxygen.
