But lets face it, other teams (Olympic champion Canada, powerhouse Brasil) have already been kicked out by teams that were considered to have less quality.

4. It is apparent that this team is not very good. They have a lot star players, but cannot play together as a team. Knowing this fact, we must now try to choke the midfield, meaning take out Alex Morgan, and add a midfielder. Bring Ertz to midfield as defensive midfielder. In addition bring Dunn to midfield with Horan and Sullivan.

10. The team is focused more on other things and not on training. First those commercials seemed a little too conceited. The fact is that right now it seems as if they're just playing around thinking they already won the world cup. They lack the chemistry the mentality and most of all the attitude. If they wanna progress the team has to focus on what past squads used to have and use that as a basis. They can't be playing desperately every single game. Its not gonna work. Things must change.

15. You are right on as usual. I don’t ever remember a worse performance. It was completely uninspired. I was wishing I had just gone to bed instead of staying up for the game. While it’s true that the other teams are getting better, it doesn’t explain the lack of creativity, the lack of movement off the ball, the lack of intensity and a seaming lack of a midfield. I think Rose really helped pick up the intensity against the Netherlands, but who is going to step up and wake this team up for the first game of the knockout round.

The talent is there, and they deserve better. Vlatko is not the man for the job. I’m happy the US went through, but they will never beat Sweden. Even if the draw were different, they probably couldn’t beat Japan, Australia or the Netherlands in a rematch, either. Time to rebuild with a new coach.

Even on the youth level girls soccer looks that way. Where’s the Asian and Latino Americans being represented on this team? Youth/international female soccer is very oppressive.

Doesn't help the quality of playing dominant passing football are not there in the USA team so simple is it , dream on quys or wake up, better wake up

25. Alexi, you have to tell this JP announcer to stop telling the audience the time and score of the game every 2 minutes. We can see the time and score. It's so annoying hearing this guy say this every few minutes.

26. If it was just one thing you could fix it, however , there are many things: bad passes, heavy touches , lack of speed, losing the midfield. Sometimes it felt like they were stuck in mud. You cannot fix it all in a. Couple of days, most of the above are players peroblems , not the coach. The game plan and losing the. Midfield was coaches issue and the fitness. This should not have been a surprise from sime of the friendlies they played.

40. I stayed up till 3am to watch this game, it was painful. I don’t think I ever saw so many missed passes as at this game. I think the ladies spent too much time with politics and fighting for millions that they surely deserve than with training!
