10. As an unbiased Englishman I actually thought that the US team played their best match in the tournament against Sweden, and losing during a penalty shoot- out can happen to anybody, no shame in that at all. They had some great chances but luck wasn't on their side this time.

I don’t know how I would feel knowing that would possibly be the last time I kicked a ball on the world stage for my country. It might be one of those things where she had to smile or laugh to keep from crying. It’s happened to me before where something has gone sideways and you just laugh through the pain, because you don’t want to seem weak or vulnerable. If you watch her postgame interview, it’s obvious that she is passionate about her career and the game. Let’s not judge too harshly.
