  1. I am so disappointed in how Tim has handled this. Be mad, be let down, but when asked about this interaction all he needed to say was, "Myself, the team and Sergino spoke about this while in the locker room and we resolved and left it there" We're all teammates and we're going to get through this as a team." THAT'S IT! If I'm Dest I would never accept a call up with these guys again after this. The culture is TERRIBLE.

  2. God I’m so sick of watching Berhalter ball. The hiring of Emma Hayes shows the US knows how to conduct an actual coach search. Why can’t the men’s side get their act together? Embarrassing performance across the board.

  3. I appreciate the hard work and effort these two put in last night, but at a certain point we have to collectively shake the "road games are tough in CONCACAF" mindset. The group seems to use that as a means to "get up" for the game and give full effort regardless of the opponent, but I think it cuts the other way too. It sets up the emotional acceptance that these types of outcomes are OK. We need to get to the point, not just where we want to win every game, but where we hold ourselves to the expectation that we win these types of games and that no excuses (location of game included) are acceptable.

That mindset needs to come from Gregg and veteran players like these two guys.

  4. Its a good example of the ripple impact that kyle martino talked about right when Dest was sent off.

In the immediate sure you are down a man and you stand a legit chance at dropping the result – which they went on to do. But it also just ruins the whole night, it made the rest of the game unwatchable, it screwed with your keeper's confidence, it drove a wedge between you and your teammates – and you may have cost other people caps! You don't play these games everyday – you don't think Zendejas would have appreciated another chance to prove himself? Or getting Paxten some needed minutes?

So selfish in the moment, your consequences have actions.
