  1. The poor audio on the questions is just another crap thing US Soccer does. Just like our crap coach. Nothing has changed w his lack of tactical knowledge. How in the world was he the best hire of everyone who was interviewed or wanted the job?

  2. When's the last time you've heard any coach for club or country saying about Halland, Foden, Bellingham, and every other player between twenty-one and twenty-four years old, "…it's a learning experience and we'll learn from this…" or, "…it was warm there, we'll learn from that," or, "he'll learn from this." Sickening. Fire Berthalter. Fire USMNT executive suite. And while you're at it, fire that lame-ass logo on the jersey too. It looks like some USMNT executive's daughter designed it in a middle school class project on Take Your Daughter to work day. Fire everything, and everyone, and pick up all the pieces later. This entire generation of players is being wasted under this national program's leadership or lack of it. It's embarrassing. I can't wait until we're knocked out of the first round of the World Cup by whoever we face. It'll be such a good learning experience. Just like the last twenty or thirty years in USMNT soccer. One long, painful learning experience where the students aren't learning much from their instructors.

  3. Gregg never should have been rehired the USSF should have talked with Jose Mourinho, Diego Simeone,Zinedine Zidane,Bora Milutinovic among others Gregg has shown he's not a disciplinarian and has a poor away record, especially in CONCACAF perhaps the USSF might have considered calling Jürgen Klinsmann,Sergino Dest's behavior last night was terrible and it clearly hurt the team and absolutely was a factor in the loss,Dest shouldn't be called up for the semi-final in March as punishment for his earning the red card ( I know he's suspended for the semi-final) but an example needs to be made

  4. This is crazy. Why is he still the manager…..someone please explain. Its Trinidad ….even with 10 men….the US should be better than this. I guess we are just really that bad. Gio doesn't play for his team….why a planned sub at 45? Things change in a match. Both matches not very good.

  5. Gregg. Move on please. There is too much talent and opportunity out there. Bring in Jessie Marsch or Henry or Freaking Bruce Arena again. You don't have the players or the fan's confidence. Just move on. (At least you are not Jurgen Klinsman… cause I hate him more than life itself.)

  6. Excuses, Excuses and more Excuses. This is the so call best generation of American players that we have and we lost to the 99 rank team in the World and you are ranked 11. Argentina is ranked 1 and they will never lose to 89 ranked Curacao. USSF and Gregg just get a clue on what you are doing.

  7. So disappointing. Btw. Does gregg ever take responsibility for anything? What was greggs response to going down ten men. Blame it all on dest and give up, or did that just happen naturally.all this talk of responding yet the team was lost. More excuses, i just threw up alittle

  8. Some honest and free advice for Gregg. When you lose a fullback to a red card, and you have a two striker formation, you remove a striker to add another fullback back into the lineup. You don't deplete your midfield and make the remaining midfielders fight for 30 minutes as an outnumbered group. That "puts a lot of players in a tough position and risk".

If that red card happens shortly before half, you also instuct the team to get behind the ball, remain organized, and give up possession to their D and wide players. Then you see that situation out to halftime and consider more tactical adjustments from there. You don't maintain a high line and immediately get beat by a long ball.

Lastly, Dest surely has some unresolved issues and emotional dysregulation. He needs the support of the team, and I like your approach of committing to giving him a second chance. But, hopefully you insist he gets the type of off the field professional help that he needs to appropriately manage his emotions and deal with unresolved issues.
