If the question is do Americans get treated differently and less than because of their country or origin. The answer is Yes, especially by fans. But that isn't unique to them.

Well..we don’t have enough world class players in the US to garner the kind of respect discussed on this and other forums. When we regularly produce multiple players who can score 20 plus goals in a season in the EPL, Serie A, La Liga etc and are still dismissed as an average football power then we can get upset. Until then, keep after it USA, we will get there.

As an American do you see the level of football we play in the states which is the most competitive league called MLS come on football in Europe is always going to be better no question about that. Americans have an ego that makes them believe they are the in soccer let me correct that it’s called FOOTBALL not soccer.
American soccer is where European basketball was in the nineties after Barcelona ‘92 convinced them of the sport. The American soccer scene has almost, not quite won respect in America. We have to climb the same mountain they e had to climb in basketball here. No sense in crying. Just battle.
