Good game Czechia & Canada! Not the strongest goaltending performance – especially on the first two, nice comeback though! That final go-ahead is every goalies worst nightmare, deflection off your own defense – it's the only one I can't fault Rousseau with! On the opposite end, great job by Czechia goalie!
This tournament is always a wild card – and although, as a Canadian, I'm hoping for gold, it's great to see awesome hockey played by the young gents, with no real guarantees! Honestly, it's a humbling experience to not win all the time…good luck to all the final teams!
Damn, I'm an American so I don't really have a dog in this fight, but what an incredible game. Really nice effort by both teams on this one.

Both sides played great hockey, it was heartbreaking match. On the end, Czechs were a little more fortunate than Canadians and that decided. I have to express my admiration for the level of Canadian sportsmanship when I read comments here. 👏

Why the foul in the last second?:( When you don't know how to lose… Everybody must lose sometimes. Anyway Canada has many great fans who know that the last year's final could have gone either way, and the same goes for this match obviously. Nerve-wracking. I did not follow junior championships until the previous one, and now I understand why they are so popular in America. Great matches. Thanks for the many nice comments.

lmfaooo Canada is so bad at sports. Canada is not elite in any other sport besides hockey, and is only the best in hockey because no other nation on Earth cares even a hundredth as much about hockey as Canada does. Canada is consistently outshone in sporting achievements by much smaller countries

Well,yes the Canadian goalie should have at least stopped 1 of the first period goals.Again young guy,big game,shit happens.Czechia scored the goals and won,good for them.
O my my oh hell ya…how the mighty do fall….all the hot dogging hi fives and number 1's and hand behind the ear narcissism (especially against Latvia) is now over …gone…to bad so sad….Canada is no longer hockey's dominate force is it….perhaps will never win another junior title…that's highly possible. Comes around goes around….
All the talk that Canada's dominance in hockey is over might be a bit overstated. Canada went seven years, from 1998 to 2004 without winning a gold medal and another five years from 2010 to 2014 with no golds. In the last five years Canada has three golds and a silver. And let's not forget that Canada could have put a second team together that would be just about as good as the one they sent. One game, two soft goals, a fluke goal and a determined defensive effort by Czechia along with good goaltending and sht happens. Canada will be back. Sometimes you play better than the other team and still lose. That's not to say Czechia didn't earn the win. Don't read too much into the state of hockey in Canada from this tournament.
