  1. 5:51 should we not have brought in Dest when he was literally banished from the Milan team and training on his own? Should we not have brought Chris Richards in back in the fall? Should we have left Pulisic out of the World Cup team when he was barely getting any minutes for Chelsea? Should we start Gaga Slonina instead of Matt Turner since he’s playing? This is such a terrible take. Form does play a role in player selection but it doesn’t trump quality or the importance of having a certain profile on the field. Nobody on this team plays the 10 nearly as good as Gio

  2. I’m really starting to agree with that USWNT player that said Americans don’t know much about soccer. Some of the idiotic takes that are made show why our men’s national team can’t win anything outside of CONCACAF & can’t get past the round of 16 in the World Cup versus the elite🤦🏽‍♂️

  3. Charlie is spot on with Johnny and DLT. I love Musah, but he hasn't progressed much this year. He doesn't seem to be challenging for minutes at his club much, and the minutes he's gotten he hasn't shown his quality enough.

  4. Jesse Marsch has dissipated the echo chamber characteristics typical of this podcast. I always felt like it was great to get the player experience based insights, but it's also great when different perceptions can survive the whole conversation too.

  5. Gio has more goal involvements than anyone in last 7 games for the nation team 😂 when he was “out of form “ after an injury, Weston was “out of form” last season and still balled for us so I’m just confused christian never came off chelsea bench and ball out for the usmnt

  6. Not bringing Gio is an idiotic idea. No he isn’t playing much but neither is Musah. It happens, but if you are one of the top players it’s not a reason to not bring someone to camp.

  7. Man, just hearing that bit about there being 'baggage' if Reyna doesn't get selected just shows how bad of a decision it was by his parents to try and blackmail Berhalter so publicly. I feel for Reyna for that reason. To be honest, I was totally with Reyna's family about him getting more play time, but the way they went about it was so terrible, they shouldn't even be able to sit in the section that the family and friends of players sit in.

  8. If Wes is out, you need to reward in form players.

Johnny and LDLT at the double pivot. Tillman at the 10. Or, for a bit more control, have Yunus over LDLT. Johnny and Tillman are both some of our most in form players right now, and Gio can’t even get off the bench for Forest.

  9. Tillman is the challenger, so he has to show that he's better than what Gregg Berhalter already has. In this case, you're talking about being better than an established star in Gio Reyna. But Reyna is coming off an inconsistent club season. He is vulnerable. There is opportunity.
