Stanford Soccer Player’s Death Is ‘A Parent’s Worst Nightmare’



The parents of a California college student found dead in her dorm room Tuesday appeared on morning TV to share that their daughter took her own life after an autopsy found there was no foul play. Katie Meyer was a star athlete at Stanford University and was the captain of the school’s soccer team. Her parents, Steve and Gina Meyer, spoke with NBC News correspondent Stephanie Gosk in an interview that aired on “Today,” in which they revealed that “she died by suicide.”
