She deserves it so much. She has it all as not only can she defend really well, but she is a clinical finisher and has fantastic composure on the ball. I would personally like to see her taking some more free kicks.

She’s fantastic at her new position she was a good CB too but lover her in the attack more she’s a scoring threat not including set peices and does the CDM dirty work with ease and distributes as she should. Overall great year for her and I think that when she’s out on the field the midfield has a certain presence that is hard to compete against. Well deserved Ertz congrats on a year where you showed everyone a defender can become a threatening attacker if they wished (goal of the year and player of the year from a former CB and now CDM…amazing). Alex Morgan had another fantastic year as well but Ertz’s versatility is something that’s rare in professional sport and deserved to get recognized applauded. Well done!!!
