  1. So he is Italian, from Jersey, named Tony, a heavy boy, family hails from Avellino and was a varsity Athlete. So, In an alternative reality HBO makes a crime series about a mob boss named «The Meolas´´

  2. Wow! Bo Oshoniyi!!! I can't believe Meola mentioned him. I knew Bo when he was going to Southern Connecticut. I used to hang out with him. Crazy.

  3. Colorado… even a broken watch is right twice a day. They're going to continue to suck until they get the manager situation solved, and get Padraig Smith the hell out of there. But any time they can get a win it's nice to see because anything's better than watching them stink up the joint week after week. It would also be great to see Howard go out in a positive way. But he's friggin Swiss cheese in front of the goal. Let's not get too excited yet.

  4. I got to watch Meola train with the USMNT at Yale University back in 92 or 93 when Bora Milutinovic was the coach. I got to sit right in the stands, barely 15 yards away, and watch the whole training session. I'll never forget that.

  5. Lately, Bobby has about the same win percentage with his bits as Columbus.
Harkes was the coaches son, of course.
Bold move making Tony Meola drive an hour and a half for an interview when he isn't promoting anything.

  6. I used to watched him on tv with his National Team often until USA 94. It was good to hear the story about him and how hard things was for them before that World Cup. Cheers since México.

  7. Tony used to be my neighbor. He helped coach my brother’s coed team with my dad. When the team separated by gender, the girls got Meola and his friend from the national team. The boys got my dad and his friend from his college team.
