The last few games Nigeria play the US they sat in a low block and defended like their lives depended on it but this time they looked unbalanced by the team effort of the US front three along with Lavelle, and Horan to get in behind their back line with Huerta all over putting out fires and dangerous with her crosses in the final third. Emily Fox started off slow and got caught in duels but grew as the game went on.
    As for the second half the subs could have handled the game better but it was already won by the sheer effort in the first 65 mins and Nigeria many errors and mistakes.
    Vlatko should not temper with this front three, look to beef up the middle, Sullivan could do better and work on the defense including defensive set piece preparations. Encouraging signs, the team is beginning to gel and it shows a ton of promise. When all our starters come back from injuries and leave of absence this new group will have gain the experience necessary to fight the vets for roster spot ultimately getting this team in optimal position for World Cup 2023.
