  1. The players don’t believe in Greg’s inflexible system. We don’t select players like Pefok or Ream for a “Plan B.” We are NOT getting out of the Group Stage if we don’t “FLIP THE SCRIPT” on tactics. Big changes need to happen to have any chance at getting out of the group.

  2. No, Gregg, Japan didn’t give you a hard time – they beat you! Badly! The only thing the US did better was to keep possession in the defensive third and that’s not something to be proud of! Are you a coach or a spin doctor?

  3. Holy Crap if your worried about being beaten by Japan wait until this squad meat’s European teams that will whip your ass! Just admit your not that good! You can’t blame the coach ! There are only so many ways you can polish a turd!

  4. What a pathetic coach. Take responsibility, admit your “system” is a failure, and make some real changes on Tuesday. Drop Long, if not for the team, for the fan base’s sanity.

  5. Japan realized that our CB's weakness was ball distribution. And so they allowed them as much time on the ball as they wanted. And of course our MLS caliber CB's were completely unable to do anything with all that time. Which allowed Japan to crowd the middle and pounce as soon as they forced the ball into there because we couldn't think (or do) anything else. McKenzie came in and showed what an actual passing defender could do…but even then we still didn't do a good job of securing the second ball. Just a disasterclass of a performance and the blame falls on the person whose JOB it is to have this TEAM ready.

  6. Perfect politician coach. complains the pitch wasn’t good, says the World Cup kits iare good and fit the team, lines up his own pockets by bringing a certain percentage of mls players, stubborn and believes his system will work no matter what

  7. Gregg's remarks and body expression indicate his players are not reacting to his game plan, and he is anxious and unconfident. It's too late to evaluate players. You should have your 26 players already in place. This shows your inexperience!
