30. Japan realized that our CB's weakness was ball distribution. And so they allowed them as much time on the ball as they wanted. And of course our MLS caliber CB's were completely unable to do anything with all that time. Which allowed Japan to crowd the middle and pounce as soon as they forced the ball into there because we couldn't think (or do) anything else. McKenzie came in and showed what an actual passing defender could do…but even then we still didn't do a good job of securing the second ball. Just a disasterclass of a performance and the blame falls on the person whose JOB it is to have this TEAM ready.
