23. I know I'm gonna get a ton of hate for this but I'm torn… Obviously he's a class player but he isn't really American. And when asked why he wants to represent the US he cites us being dominant in the Olympics as a big motivating factor and refers to the US as "them". None of our 9s are better than him currently but I'd rather see the likes of Pepi or Sargent play – guys who were born and raised in the US – rather than Balogun.

    That's not to say I'm not a Balogun fan, I just hope the USMNT doesn't become over-run by guys who aren't truly American. I'd frankly prefer to see the USMNT lose with American players than win with players who aren't really.

    And before anyone makes this into a race thing, it's nothing like that. I love the diversity of the USMNT.
